What OneAlbum is

OneAlbum lets guests at an event add photos and videos to a shared live gallery (no app, no account for guests) and lets the host download everything afterward. This page explains, in plain language, what information we handle to make that work.

What we collect

If you create an album, we store your email address and name (from Google sign-in or the email link you request) so we know which albums are yours. We store the event details you enter: the event name, date, and settings. And we store the photos and videos you and your guests upload.

Guests don't need an account. If a guest signs in to have their uploads credited, we store their email and name for that purpose only.

Your photos and videos

Uploaded media is stored on our servers. Originals are kept exactly as uploaded (we never edit or overwrite them) so the host's full-resolution ZIP download contains the real files.

Location data is stripped

Phone photos often carry hidden GPS coordinates and camera metadata (EXIF). We strip that from every version of a photo we serve to the gallery, so viewing a photo never reveals where it was taken.

Who can see an album

Each album lives behind a long, unguessable link, the one on the QR sign. Anyone with that link can view the gallery and add photos; nobody can find an album by guessing. The host controls the gallery and can hide or delete any photo at any time.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics cookies.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal information, your guests' information, or your photos to anyone. Ever.

How long we keep things

We keep albums around generously so nobody loses their memories, and we email the host with reminders before anything is ever deleted, with plenty of time to download the full-resolution ZIP first.

Deleting your album

The host can delete an album at any time from the dashboard. Deleting an album removes its photos and videos from our servers.

Your choices

If you appear in a photo you'd rather not share, ask the host. They can remove any photo in seconds. Guests who signed in can also manage their own uploads from the upload page.
